This week was full of hard work in a number of different places along the pipeline: modeling, texturing, rigging, layout, animation. I have 2 animators on board and ready to work, so one of my top priorities this week has been preparing the pipeline for their entry.

Firstly, I spent time this week texturing props in the haunted version of Rose's bedroom. This was a rewarding experience after spending so long in the clean version of the space.
I worked this week on the spiderwebs in this space. It was a bit of work upfront in photoshop getting the textures working, but now that I've made the elements I plan to place as many of them as I have time for!
Another big thing I did this week was modeling, texturing, and rigging the butterfly. The rig was more challenging than I anticipated, but getting it to work was incredibly rewarding. I equipped the rig with a "flap dial" that can drive a pre-animated flap.

I also started the moth model, and am excited to texture and rig that early next week.
I also met with the film's composer this week, and spent time figuring how the film's music can best serve the story. Part of that process was creating this graph of the score's intensity, which also serves as a sort of rising/falling action chart:
